En sentral funksjon er den enkle kontinuerlig roterende ventilen, som erstatter flere konvensjonelle tallerkenventiler og deler det sylindriske varmelagringslaget inn i flere uavhengige sektorer.<\/p>\n<p>Under rotasjon utf\u00f8rer hver sektor sekvensielt tre funksjoner: forvarming av innkommende forurenset gass, lagring av termisk energi fra renset gass og spyling. Denne kontinuerlige rotasjonsbevegelsen sikrer s\u00f8ml\u00f8se overganger mellom driftsfaser og eliminerer trykksvingninger som er typiske for tradisjonelle koblingsventiler.<\/p>\n<p>I det avbildede systemet kommer forurenset gass inn ved 25 \u00b0C med en str\u00f8mningshastighet p\u00e5 100 k Nm\u00b3\/t. Den passerer gjennom varme keramiske sektorer for forvarming f\u00f8r den n\u00e5r forbrenningskammeret, hvor oksidasjon skjer ved h\u00f8y temperatur. Etter behandling kommer 30 k Nm\u00b3\/t av den rensede gassen ut ved \u2265950 \u00b0C og kan ledes til en spillvarmekjele og et dampturbingeneratorsett for energigjenvinning. De resterende 70 k Nm\u00b3\/t overf\u00f8rer varme til kj\u00f8ligere keramiske lag f\u00f8r de slippes ut under 30 \u00b0C. En liten renset gassstr\u00f8m brukes til spyling for \u00e5 forhindre lekkasje, mens spesialiserte tetninger sikrer gasstetthet.
