\nIn industrial combustion systems, NOx is typically formed at a ratio of 90\u201395% NO and 5\u201310% NO\u2082. The formation mechanisms of NOx are classified into three types: \u2460 Thermal NOx, generated by oxidation of atmospheric N\u2082 via the Zeldovich mechanism at temperatures exceeding 1,300\u00b0C; \u2461 Fuel NOx, formed from the oxidation of nitrogen-containing fuels; \u2462 Prompt NOx, produced in high-temperature zones with hydrocarbon radicals. Do ponto de vista ambiental, o NOx \u00e9 um precursor do ozono (O\u2083) e das part\u00edculas finas (PM2,5), contribuindo para a polui\u00e7\u00e3o atmosf\u00e9rica urbana e para o aumento da forma\u00e7\u00e3o de smog. Quando o NOx se combina com o vapor de \u00e1gua, pode gerar chuva \u00e1cida, acidificando o solo, a vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o e as fontes de \u00e1gua, impactando assim os ecossistemas. Al\u00e9m disso, o NOx exacerba o efeito estufa e acelera as altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas. Em termos de sa\u00fade humana, o NOx irrita o sistema respirat\u00f3rio, aumentando o risco de asma, bronquite cr\u00f3nica e outras doen\u00e7as; a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o prolongada pode levar \u00e0 diminui\u00e7\u00e3o da fun\u00e7\u00e3o pulmonar e ao cancro.<\/p>\n
