PVC Elastic Flooring Industry Treatment Solutions

Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs) provide a critical end-of-pipe treatment solution for the PVC elastic flooring industry. By ensuring high destruction efficiency, RTO systems enable manufacturers to meet stringent environmental regulations while minimizing odor and secondary pollution. With robust adaptability to varying volatile organic compound (VOCs) concentrations and production conditions, RTOs have become an indispensable technology for achieving compliant, efficient, and scalable emissions control in modern flooring manufacturing facilities.

rto-pvc industry-application-1
  • Exhaust Gas Characteristics: DOTP has a high boiling point, easily condenses and liquefies, and the exhaust gas concentration is low.
  • Exhaust Gas Source: Organized exhaust from the oven, unorganized exhaust from the workshop.
  • Exhaust Gas Components: DOTP, D80 solvent oil.
  • Process Solution: Oil removal and filtration + front-end heating + rotary RTO

PVC Elastic Flooring VOCs Waste Gas Treatment Route Selection

This electrostatic recovery-based treatment route is gradually being phased out in the market. There are three reasons for this:

  • The electrostatic recovery device demonstrates suboptimal treatment efficiency, with testing showing an actual waste gas removal rate of only 60%, which fails to meet current environmental protection requirements. Additionally, the device is ineffective in eliminating odors.
  • The recovered DOTP and solvent oil are classified as hazardous waste, incurring high disposal costs.
  • The electrostatic recovery unit requires regular cleaning of its electrode cylinders. This cleaning process generates wastewater, leading to secondary pollution and necessitating further wastewater treatment.

A Better Choice - Rotary Valve Regenerative Thermal Incinerator (RTO)

rto-PVC Industry-RTO-advantages
  1. High treatment efficiency and compliant emissions, with treatment efficiency reaching up to 99.5%;
  2. No secondary pollution generated;
  3. Excellent energy efficiency: when the exhaust gas concentration is sufficiently high, a waste heat recovery system can be configured, resulting in low operational energy consumption.

Total Exhaust Gas Wolume: 100,000 m³/h
